Feb 28th P2P – Unleashing Exploratory Testing – The Lean Value Explosion!

February 17, 2012
What?: This session will introduce the basic foundation of Exploratory Testing and run through a live, interactive demo to demonstrate some of how it’s done. Bring your open minds and questions and maybe even an app to test. If ET is new to you, prepare to get blown away!
When?: Tuesday February 28th 2012 from 4:30p.m. to 6:00p.m.
Where?:Communitech Hub, 151 Charles St. W., Suite 100, Kitchener, ON (Atlas & Matrix Rooms)
Who?:  Paul Carvalho, Consultant, Software Testing and Quality Services.
Paul has been in IT for 23 years and has been tinkering with computers since the mid-70’s. He has held just about every role in development at one time or another and has focussed on QA and Testing for the last 18 years. A regular speaker at Testing conferences and workshops for the past 10 years, Paul has become more involved in the Agile community over the last 3 years since he became an independent consultant.
Paul has been practising Exploratory Testing exclusively for the last 8 years and has been teaching and coaching testers in this approach for the past 6 years. He draws upon his Science and Teaching backgrounds to help people learn in ways that are grounded in solid skepticism, ensuring that they have more questions afterwards than before they began! Paul currently consults with organisations to help them enrich their development practices with integrated QA and Testing activities, helps build test teams, and offers training and coaching on effective testing practices. He is also authoring his first book “Handbook of Software Testing.”
